How to change audio speed online

Are my audio files uploaded?

No. Speed processing runs locally in your browser, and the selected file is only passed to a Worker on this device.

Which input formats are supported?

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, and Opus are supported in common browser environments. Decoding still depends on the codec inside the file.

How do I keep the voice from changing pitch?

Turn on Keep original pitch. The time-stretch path changes duration while keeping speech and music closer to their original key.

What speed range is available?

The current range is 0.25× to 4×. Try 0.5× for practice and dictation, or 1.25× to 2× for lessons and podcasts.

Why can large files take longer?

The browser must decode, retime, and re-encode the audio. Larger files and devices with less memory need more time, so keep the tab open.

Why is the default output MP3?

MP3 plays on most phones, computers, cars, and sharing platforms. Keep the original WAV or FLAC when you need lossless editing later.
