No. The conversion runs locally in your browser. The page does not need to upload the video to a processing server.
Which video formats can I resize?
You can add common formats including MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, AVI, M4V and other browser-recognized video files. Output can be MP4, WebM, MKV or MOV when supported by your browser.
Will resizing reduce video quality?
Reducing resolution removes pixels, but Medium or High quality usually preserves a good balance. Upscaling cannot create new detail, so avoid making a small source larger unless you need a fixed canvas.
What is the difference between Contain and Cover?
Contain keeps the complete frame and may add padding. Cover fills the target frame and crops the edges. Fill stretches the frame and is best used only when distortion is acceptable.
How large can a video be?
The current limit is shown in the upload area and follows the tool configuration. Because processing is local, available memory and browser limits can also affect very large files.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, on modern mobile browsers. For very large videos, a desktop browser usually provides more memory and a faster WebCodecs implementation.
