No. MediaBunny decodes the video in a Web Worker in this browser. Generated JPGs and ZIP files also remain temporary browser data and are released when the page is closed or refreshed. We do not store the source video.

Are videos and thumbnails uploaded?
No. Processing happens locally in your browser, and the source video is not sent to a server.
Why can I select an MKV or AVI but not preview it?
Native video preview support varies by browser, container, and codec. MediaBunny reads the track independently, so extraction may still work even when preview does not.
Are thumbnails exported at the original resolution?
The JPG uses the video display dimensions by default. File size depends on the source resolution and JPG quality.
Why does the first frame not start at 0 seconds?
The default range starts at 5% and ends at 95% to avoid black frames, intros, and end cards. Drag the start position to 0% when needed.
How many frames can I extract at once?
The page supports up to 24 frames. More frames require more local memory for decoding and JPG encoding.
Can I use this on a phone?
Yes. Modern mobile browsers usually handle MP4 and WebM. Large files or uncommon codecs may take longer.
